Water Reclamation

The Water Reclamation Department is responsible for cleaning the city’s wastewater through treatment as well as proper disposal of the wastewater stream both of which is successfully accomplished while also meeting stringent state and federal guidelines. This department also oversees the Industrial Pretreatment Program making sure that local industries are properly treating their waste before it enters our system. 

 

 

Our staff also ensures that the Water Reclamation Facility, which treats the waste, is operating efficiently.  We also ensure that the city’s waste collection systems, including lift stations and force mains, operate efficiently.
