Christmas Angels

Christmas Angels

Since 1998, FPUA employees have adopted children of all ages through the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angels program.

Since 1998, FPUA employees have adopted children of all ages through the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angels program.  Although the number of “Angel Adoptions” grow each year, FPUA employees on average, adopt 50 Angels and donate over 300 items, including bikes, scooters skateboards, toys, clothes, and gift cards to these disadvantaged children.

In 2006, a special recognition went to the team of FPUA lineman who first adopted a family of 5 and donated to these children. Then, they took up a second collection for items for the remaining Angels that were not yet adopted.  In addition, 2 more linemen took Angels home to their families who bought new toys and clothes for these Angels.  Children of an FPUA employee event went into their savings accounts to shop for an angel.
